Parent Feedback
Just a huge THANK YOU to you all for making Frida (and Stina) feel so welcome! They love it at Pine Wood.
Having been in Farnham for a few months now and spoken to lots of mums having/had children at Pine Wood, they all say that Pine Wood is fantastic and that we were so lucky to get a space for both Frida and Stina. We totally agree!
Pine Wood Nursery School is a privately owned nursery school in the centre of Lower Bourne providing nursery care for children aged two years plus. The nursery has two large rooms where children have access to a wide range of activities and are supported in their development throught the Early Years Foundation Stage. The nursery manager is Paula Goddard (Diploma in Early Years) who has a wealth of experience and provides a stimulating, nurturing environment with her team, where the children develop and grow through a wide range of activities on offer daily.
The nursery has free flow to an outdoor play area and provides music, gardening, cookery and ICT as part of the nursery curriculum . We also include forest school for all children in their last year of nursery an option for children turning 3 years of age.Forest school is run by our Forest School leader Claire who is a level 3 providing lot's of adventures in the local woodland.
The nursery offers extra curricular clubs , these vary depending on demand.
Children's development is recorded using online learning journeys via Tapestry. Parents are able to access their child's profile and contribute to their development in partnership with the nursery.
All key worker staff hold an Early Years qualification (minimum Level 3) . The children are allocated a key worker on entry to the nursery and they will remain with that member of staff until it is time to move onto school. This allows the staff to develop a very good relationship with their children and also with the parents, which we feel is very important.
We offer Early Years Free Entitlement to children in the term after they turn 3 years of age and FEET funding for children aged two years of age - please see the Contact Link for links for more information.
