At Tilford Meadow Nursery School we aim to build a happy, caring environment where children and their families matter by respecting their individuality.
We value children's learning, supporting their development not only in the indoor nursery environment but by providing a wealth of learning opportunities using our wonderful garden and woodland access. The nursery embraces the "Forest School" ethos of learning, encouraging independence, investigation and questioning. We have achieved the Quality Assurance award which is the "kite mark" for providers of high quality care.
We offer EYFE ( Early Years Free Entitlement) for children in the term after their 3rd birthday and FEET funding for children aged 2 years. We offer the universal 15 hours and also the extended 30 hours.
All nursery key worker staff hold an Early Years qualification and our Forest School team have completed Forest School training. All staff are DBS checked, all have attended safeguarding training, all key workers have also completed paeditric first aid training.Staff update and extend their early years knowledge by attending regular early years specific training.
We offer the following hours for the children attending Tilford Meadow Nursery School
Children age two and a half to three years - 9.15 -12.15 or 1.15 Mon- Fri
Children aged three years plus -9.15 - 1.15 Mon- Fri
Extended sessions 9.15 -3.15 (flexi pick up from 2.30) Mon,Tues,Thurs and Fri - children aged 3 years plus
Forest School is part of the curriculum for all children from the term they receive the grant, before then we offer mini explorers to all our younger children as part of their weekly routine.
